At Lift Up Concrete Lifting, we know that when it comes to your property, you want solutions that last. Below, we’ve gathered answers to the most common questions about our concrete lifting process, materials, and service standards—so you can make an informed decision with confidence.

Q: What do you use to lift the concrete?

A: We use grout injection, not foam.

Our grout is a strong mix of road base (minus the larger aggregate) with cement added. It’s significantly stronger than foam—and even stronger than the compacted road base that should be under your concrete in the first place.

For comparison, if you were to completely remove and replace your concrete, no contractor would ever place foam underneath; it would always be a compacted road base. That’s why grout provides a much more durable and lasting solution than foam.

Q: Is it a long-term solution?

A: Absolutely.

With grout injection, we use hydraulic rams to compact and pump the grout beneath the slab, filling voids and stabilizing the area above. Combined with the natural strength of grout, this creates a long-term repair that can even handle the weight of semi-trucks without issue.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: We’ve been proudly serving Utah for 19 years. Our experience has helped us refine our process and deliver consistent, high-quality results for both residential and commercial clients.

Q: How are your reviews?

A: Excellent.

We have nearly two decades of reviews available across multiple platforms. We don’t delete or hide negative feedback—our reviews are 100% authentic, from real customers spanning 15 to 19 years. That transparency reflects our commitment to quality and integrity in every job we take on.

Q: How reliable are you?

A: We take pride in being reliable and professional.

When we say we’ll do something, we do it—on time and as promised. Our clients trust us because we consistently deliver what we commit to, without surprises or delays.

Q: What percentage of your clients are commercial?

A: Roughly half of our clients are commercial, and the other half are residential.

Engineers and property managers prefer our grout injection method for its proven strength and long-term performance. Some of our notable commercial projects include:

  • Hill Air Force Base
  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
  • Jiffy Lube
  • CBRE
  • Freeport Center
  • Boyer Company
  • And many more

Q: When can I drive on my concrete after it’s lifted?

A: Typically, within 24 hours.

In some cases—like parking garages—the concrete is ready for use immediately. Our lifting process minimizes disruption, so your driveway, walkway, or business operations can return to normal quickly.

Q: Why is lifting better than removing and replacing concrete?

A: There are several key reasons:

  • Cost savings: Lifting costs only ⅓ to ⅕ of replacement.
  • Speed: Ready for use in one day, not weeks.
  • Warranty: Our lifting work comes with a stronger warranty than new concrete.
  • Aesthetics: Lifting preserves the original slab color—no mismatched new patches.
  • Preservation: We save good slabs that don’t need to be replaced, avoiding waste.

Q: Why is lifting better than grinding concrete?

A: Grinding may smooth out edges temporarily, but it doesn’t solve the problem.

  • Grinding only addresses the surface, not the underlying soil voids.
  • It allows continued settling beneath the slab.
  • It can create a heel-kick hazard instead of a toe-kick hazard.
  • It doesn’t restore proper grade or slope, which affects drainage.

Lifting, on the other hand, restores the slab’s correct level and slope—eliminating hazards and preventing future damage.

Q: What sets you apart from other companies?

A: Several things make Lift Up Concrete Lifting stand out:

  • We use the strongest lifting material available.
  • Our precise hole pattern ensures even lifting and maximum compaction.
  • We bring commercial-grade materials to every job, big or small.
  • We’re licensed and insured, with nearly two decades of proven experience.
  • And above all, we do what we say, when we say—every time.
